Divide County Library Board Meeting – December 3, 2025
Meeting called to order by Mr. Nelson at 5:25 p.m. Present: Isaac Jacobs, Nate Nelson, Rita Stewart, Carol Williams, and Library Director Traci Lund. Absent: Rosemary Tanberg
Public Comment – No public comments were received.
Minutes from September 10, 2025, were approved (motion by Jacobs, second by Stewart).
Financial Report – Board reviewed 2025 financials. Outstanding bills, December salaries, and longevity bonuses will be processed before year-end.
Librarian’s Report – Library Director Traci Lund reported the Divide County Library was honored to receive the You Make A Difference Award from the Vocational Rehabilitation program. Ms. Lund wrote two grants for the Glenn Perkins foundation. A $10,000 request for the public library for two new patron computers, one staff computer, related software, additional shelving, books and supplies. The other grant was written for $134,000 to renovate the Divide County High School library. Ms. Lund will attend a expenses the American Library Association (ALA) conference in Chicago with all expenses paid.
Old Business – The library received the Andrist Grant for $2,000 in funding to launch the 1000 Books before Kindergarten program.
New Business – The Board thanked Ms. Williams for her years of service on the board. Reviewed employees’ future employment plans. Discusse policy revisions. Motion to amend Recommendation for Purchase policy made by Williams, seconded by Stewart. Motion carried. Reviewed Operations Policy.
