Divide County Library Board Meeting – September 10, 2025
Meeting called to order by Mr. Nelson at 5:32 p.m. Present: Isaac Jacobs, Nate Nelson, Rita Stewart, Rosemary Tanberg, Carol Williams, and Library Director Traci Lund.
Minutes from May 28, 2025, approved (motion by Williams, second by Stewart).
Financial Report – Grant money is listed under miscellaneous revenue account in the new reports. Financials look good. Library currently has about 45% left in the miscellaneous, book, and salary funds.
Librarian’s Report – Welcomed new board member Rosemary Tanberg. July library conference attended by Ms. Lund was very informative. NDLA will be held in Grand Foks October 1st – 3rd. Book Fair will be September 22 – 25. Back to School Bash was sponsored by New Century Ag. The librarian collaboration with the school is going well with Wednesdays and Fridays having no scheduled classes. Ms. Lund will write a request to the Andrist Grant to assist in beginning the 1,000 books before kindergarten program.

New Business – Review of Policies
Library Card Application: no changes (motion by Tanberg, second by Stewart).
Citizen Participation Policy: updates approved (motion by Williams, second by Tanberg).
De-Selection Policy: revisions approved (motion by Stewart, second by Nelson).
Ms. Lund will write the Phelps Grant for multiple items including book purchases, plastic containers, Libby, new exterior sign, front entry mosaic, sculpture, and window security upgrades.
