DIVIDE COUNTY LIBRARY BOARD MEETING – January 15, 2025
Meeting called to order by Mr. Nelson at 5:18 p.m. Board members present: Commissioner Isaac Jacobs, Nate Nelson, Mike Melgaard, Rita Stewart, Carol Williams, and Library Director Traci Lund. Absent -none
Minutes from the December 11, 2024 meeting were reviewed. Motion to approve the minutes made by Ms Stewart, seconded by Mr Melgaard. Motion carried.
Financials: At the end of 2024, the library was 7.5% below budget. Because Divide County has new financial software, reports will look different than in past years. The Auditor will need to input grant money received under Income instead of the category the grant is contributing to. At the budget meeting in June, Ms. Lund would like to discuss absorbing the Copier Fund into another account.
Librarian’s Report: There was an upgrade to Polaris, which is the system used to check out books. More totes for Gavyn’s Gadgets have been ordered.
Old Business: Divide County Library received the Glenn Perkins grant for $20,000. This grant will go toward a new copier, paper, books, air purifier, and other miscellaneous items.
New Business: Reviewed Interlibrary Loan Policy
Election of Officers – Ms. Williams nominated Mr. Nate Nelson as President, Ms. Rita Stewart as Vice President, Ms. Carol Williams as Secretary. Ms. Stewart seconded it. All present voted in favor.
Motion to adjourn the meeting made by Ms. Williams, seconded by Ms. Stewart.
